Card burndown chart

The chart shows the speed of completing tasks, the amount of work added and the amount of work remaining.

The vertical axis is the number or size (depending on the selected display) of tasks in work, the horizontal axis - time. Default time starts from the date of first moving the card to the column with type "In progress" or date of creation. Cards added before this date - main work, after this date - added.

The trends in this chart allow you to predict the completion date for the task. The intersection of the blue line with the grey horizontal line (time axis) shows the projected finish date with no new tasks added. On the graph above, if no tasks have been added since the current date 20.10, the projected completion date is 25.10. If tasks are added at the same rate as from the date of the start of work on the task (dark columns), the predicted date of completion of work will shift to 30.10 (intersection of the dark line with the blue).

If the tasks are added faster than the current ones are completed, the trend of the added work will diverge from the trend of the work performed, and it will be possible to calculate only the predicted completion date of the work without newly added tasks. The graph below illustrates this example.

Only children that do not have their own child cards are included in the chart. In the picture below, card "b" will not be included, since it has its own child cards.

Please note that deleted cards and child cards of deleted tasks do not appear in the chart.
