Template checklists allow you to set up "list of rules" for a column or a whole board, which will be automatically added to each card that falls into that column.
For example you have a "Contract / Preparation" column. And as part of this stage of the process, you always have to perform certain actions, for example:
1. Take the last actual contract from the folder %FOLDER_NAME%;
2. Before sending the contract to the client, send it to the manager for review.
It is inconvenient to create a checklist for a card each time, so you create a template checklist called "Preparatory Actions" and add items from the list above (1 and 2) to its items. Now every time a card is moved to this column, a list of two items to be executed will be created.
Template checklists can be multiple.
To create a new template checklist for a column, go to the column menu and select the "Template checklists" item:
Then click "Add checklist", enter its name and checklist items.
If a template checklist is assigned to the whole board, then when a card hits any of the columns, this checklist will apply to it.
To create a new template checklist for a board, go to the board menu and select the "Template checklists" item:
Then click "Add checklist", enter its name and checklist items.
Template checklists can be copied to other columns/boards and moved between columns/boards (by deleting from the original column/board and assigning it to another column/board).
